Bionics draws from the simplicity, efficiency, functionality and beauty of design in Nature and applies these principle to the design of everyday things .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Franco is a provocateur & visionary. He pioneered “Bionics,” the theory and practice of nature-inspired design, and is an expert in the interplay between design & technology. He helps companies establish human-centered design as a key driver for success and builds internal design cultures where leading edge creativity helps to redefine the competitiveness of the business.
He has served as Master Innovator in wearable technologies for Google-Motorola, was Motorola’s MIT Media Lab liaison, led Design for Herman Miller and led Pininfarina in America. Franco holds 71 patents including the first wireless ECG, Gillette Mach multiblade conformable razor, and the Motorola iDEN mobile phone lineup. Franco has helped shape innovation agendas for major brands including Dupont, Coca Cola, Ferrari, Maserati, HP, Boeing and others.

Franco Lodato  is an American industrial designer, best known for his work in biomimicry. Lodato has served as an associate professor at the University of Montreal School of Design, designer in residence at the University of South Florida, and as a visiting lecturer at the MIT Media Laboratory. He is the vice chair of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), Florida Chapter.[1] Lodato has an honorary doctorate from Universidad Nueva Esparta.
